STAFFORD, Texas – The Stafford Police Department is investigating after a vehicle was struck by a train on Thursday night around 10:30.
Police said a dark-colored SUV was on the tracks when a passing train struck the vehicle at the intersection of Promenade and U.S. 59. The damage to the vehicle was substantial.

Police do not know who was inside the SUV at the time or what injuries they may have suffered.
Stafford police offered no information at the scene.
