TOMBALL, Texas – Several customers at a Tomball Walmart got an early Christmas present Monday, on the last day of layaway storage at the store.
Two Secret Santas spent $2,700 to pay off the balances on layaway accounts.

When Joey Zepeda got an email from Walmart notifying him that a stranger had paid off the $60 left on his account, he couldn't believe it until he went to the store to check it out.
"They said, 'OK, here's your box, everything's paid for.' I was in shock," he said.
Zepeda said the surprise payoff was an answered prayer. He was trying to figure out where he was going to come up with extra cash for his yearly donation to Toys For Tots.
"It's a double blessing because whoever gave that money blessed me, but they don't know how far that money's going to go, 'cause it's gonna bless someone else," Zepeda said.
Zepeda said the donation is the epitome of the Christmas spirit.
"To whoever you are out there, thank you thank you so much and I'm sure I speak for everyone you gave to. You've just made our season bright," he said.
Walmart said the donors want to remain anonymous.
