3 children, mother missing from Brookshire area found safe in Houston

BROOKSHIRE, Texas – Brookshire police said Tamara Harrison and her three children were found safe and sound on Wednesday.

Police found 10-year-old Romon Reese, 8-year-old Jacqulin Ballard and 1-year-old Gracelyn Chachere after the grandmother of the kids called police. She said she received an alarming text from Harrison that led her to believe the kids might be in danger.

The children are about to be reunited with their grandmother in Harris County.

Harrison struggles with mental health issues and police say she hasn't been taking her medication.

They say the text she sent to her mother was a cry for help.

Police say Harrison stayed with a friend in the Houston area Tuesday night and that friend reached out to police just a short time ago.

The family is asking for privacy.

No charges are expected to be filed.
