HOUSTON – A 32-year-old man is facing multiple charges after police said he grabbed four women by the crotch and/or buttocks on four separate occasions within a week and a half in late October and early November.
Christopher Jerrod Mathews is facing four charges of public lewdness. He was arrested on Nov. 2.

The first offense he is facing stems from an Oct. 24 incident when police said Mathews grabbed a woman's private parts at a Target store.
Five days later, without permission, Mathews touched a woman's butt at an Exxon gas station, police said. The same day, he is accused of touching a woman's private parts and butt at a Sam's Club store.
On Nov. 3, Mathews is accused of grabbing a woman by her private parts at a southeast Houston grocery store.
Cassy Burton came forward to tell her story to Channel 2 about what happened that morning at the Foodarama in southeast Houston off Fuqua Street.
"All of a sudden I feel something reach under me, in between my legs and grabbed," Burton said. "Out of shock I just froze and I see the guy standing there and he's just staring at me like, 'What are you going to do?' I started yelling (at him), I was like, 'Don't ever touch me, ever.'
After Burton had yelled for help, the store director stepped in and told Mathews to leave.
"I think that anybody else who experiences this type of thing and is scared to say anything needs to definitely stand up for themselves, for what they believe in," Burton said.
