Runoff scheduled for HISD District VII Trustee race

HOUSTON – The race to fill the unexpired term of outgoing HISD District 7 Trustee Harvin Moore will be decided in a runoff on Dec. 10.

None of the four candidates won the majority of votes, so the two top vote-getters, Anne Sung and John Luman, will be on the runoff ballot.

Sung received 46.8 percent of Tuesday’s vote, while Luman received 29.25 percent.

Early-voting times are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Nov. 30 to Dec. 2 and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 5 and 6.

Early-voting locations are:

• Harris County Clerk's Office, 201 Carolina St.
• Metropolitan Multi-Service Center, 1475 W. Gray St.
• SPJST Lodge 88, 1435 Beall St.
• Harris County Public Health, Galleria location, 2223 W. Loop South

Some of the schools included in District 7 are Sinclair Elementary, Lamar High and Pilgrim Academy.
