Moody Gardens' beloved sea lion Dino dies

GALVESTON, Texas – Dino, a beloved sea lion at Moody Gardens in Galveston, died Wednesday, according to the park’s Facebook page.

Dino had been at the popular tourist attraction since 2010.

While a necropsy will be performed to determine the cause of death, officials said it appears that he died as a result of kidney failure.

Dino was 21 years old.
