Man killed, woman injured in motorcycle crash in northwest Houston

HOUSTON – A motorcyclist was killed and a woman was seriously injured Thursday in a motorcycle crash in northwest Houston. 

Police said a man and woman were riding a gray Kawasaki motorcycle around around 12:05 a.m. in the 12500 block of Northwest Freeway, when they cut in front of a gray Ford Fusion.

The car hit the motorcycle, throwing the 39-year-old man and the woman off the bike. 

The man died at the scene, investigators said. The woman was taken to Ben Taub in critical condition. Police said she broke her spine and suffered several other injuries. 

The driver of the car waited for police and is not expected to face charges. 

Police are still investigating.
