Man dies after falling off back of pickup truck

A man died Tuesday after falling off the back of a truck driven by his girlfriend’s mother.

Sheriff’s deputies said Stacie Mcglaun was driving a pickup truck along Sjolander Road in east Harris County on Tuesday evening.

They said she was hauling several items, including a plastic swimming pool.

According to investigators, Isacc Nugent was riding in the bed of the truck and trying to hold the swimming pool down.

The pool and Nugent both fell from the truck while it was moving, deputies said.

 He hit his head on the roadway and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Division is investigating the case, but they said no charges are expected.
