SPRING, Texas – Video from inside Spring High School showed two students fighting in the hallway on Tuesday.
Spring Independent School District officials said while an administrator was breaking up the fight, a student hit the school employee.
District officials told KPRC2 that the administrator was not seriously hurt, but a viewer called KPRC2 claiming that nothing has been done about the fight.
District officials told a different story.
Spring ISD has released a statement:
"Disciplinary action, including suspension, has been taken against both students who were involved in the altercation. We take these issues very seriously as the safety of our students and staff is our highest priority."
Students told KPRC2 that the fight got out of hand and other students were injured as well.
"They just started fighting and Mrs. ...tried to break it up and stuff, and she just got hit in her face," one student said.
"I feel as though it shouldn't happen at all. Because we have young youth here," another student said.
This is the second school fight this week.
The first was captured on a cellphone video at La Porte High School. A mother said that bullies had beat up her 15-year-old when he refused to give them a piece of clothing that was unpaid for.
The fight intensified when another student tried to break it up.
"no, no, no back off!"
Eventually a staff member ended it all.
