Police said the shooter ran from the scene, but was still believed to be in the immediate area.

After a short search with a K-9 unit, Francisco Omar Amaya-Medina was taken into custody.

Police said a physical argument between Amaya-Medina and the victim led to the shooting.

After the argument, Amaya-Medina left the scene, but returned with a small-caliber pistol and fired one round at the victim, striking him in the left leg, according to police.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
