Husband, wife forced to strip during attack in own home

HOUSTON – A Houston man has a black eye, fractures in his face and staples in his head, and it’s all the result of a vicious attack at his Eastside home.

It happened just before 6 a.m. on Tuesday in the 3200 block of Cactus near Collingsworth.

Ramon Alicea was leaving for work when an armed robber came looking for cash.

“Somebody came behind me, put the gun in my back, he said, 'Get in,' and pushed me inside the house,” Ramon told KPRC. “'Give me your wallet, give me your money.'”

Ramon handed over his wallet with more than $100 inside, hoping the robber would leave. Instead he forced Ramon and his wife Olga to get on all fours and crawl into the bedroom.

“He said, 'Go to the bedroom,'” and when I go back there he said, 'Take off the clothing, everything.'” Ramon said. “Me and my wife.”

At gunpoint the couple was then forced to lie on the bed. When the robber started to take off his clothes, Ramon fought back, fearing his wife was about to be sexually assaulted.

“When he do that, I jumped and started fighting with him,” he said.

After a brief struggle, the robber ran out.

Naked and terrified, Ramon and Olga also took off. They ran to a neighbor’s house for help.

The Houston Police Department is investigating, but they don’t have a lot of information to go on and there is a very vague description.

Ramon said the suspect was a black man, possibly in his mid-30s, with a big build, large muscles and he was wearing sandals. He was not in a car, and a nearby surveillance camera did record someone walking down the street early that same morning, but it doesn’t show much.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
