American Girl partners with Toys R Us There will be more locations to buy the dolls No description found
HOUSTON – Families will soon have more locations where they can buy American Girl dolls.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Mattel and Toys "R" Us are joining forces. The dolls and American Girl products will be sold in some Toys "R" Us Inc. stores.
It's a partnership that would make Toys "R" Us the only United States-based retailer to feature the products outside the actual American Girl stores.
Right now, the dolls and other American Girl products are only a few dozen stores in the U.S. and online. One of the stores is located at Memorial City Mall in Houston.
The American Girl products, which includes a line of contemporary 18-inch dolls, outfits and accessories, is popular among young girls. When the Memorial City Mall location opened in 2012, there was a long line of families waiting to get inside the store.
