Court documents show that an inmate reported the incident in October 2015.

Deputies said Mapp and the inmate had several phone conversations, and recordings revealed sexually explicit details about one encounter in August 2015.

When the inmate was transferred to prison in September 2015, deputies said he listed Mapp as his common-law wife.

According to court documents, Mapp sent him electronic letters in which she continued to pursue a sexual relationship.

When charges were filed last February, Mapp admitted to having sex with the inmate, according to deputies.

As part of her plea deal, Mapp was placed on a 2-year deferred adjudication, ordered to pay a $300 fine and must perform 120 hours of community service.

Mapp, 31, is not allowed to have contact with the inmate, and must serve 30 consecutive days in custody.

She was originally charged with improper sex act with a person in custody, but the charge was reduced as part of the plea bargain.
