Two school employees robbed at gunpoint

HOUSTON – Two school employees were robbed at gunpoint across the street from a southwest Houston private school.

The two women pulled up around 5:30 a.m. Friday near Robindell Private School at Dashwood and Alder when they were approached by a man with a gun as they got out of their car, police said. The man pointed the gun at the women and told them to drop their possessions and start running, according to Houston police.

The robber picked up the items, said “thank you” and fled the scene.

The employees were shaken up, but not injured.

School administrators said the holdup did not happen on school property.

The Houston Police Department is still investigating.
