LEAGUE CITY, Texas – A League City man faces charges in the beating of a 6-year-old child, who died from injuries suffered in the alleged assault.
According to police, an officer pulled over a woman for driving recklessly in the 1500 block of East Main on Wednesday.
She was seeking help for her unconscious 6-year-old child.
Investigators said the child suffered serious brain trauma and significant internal injuries consistent with abuse.
Police said Friday that the child has died.
The mother told investigators her child was in the care of her boyfriend, Evan David Nolan, 26.
League City detectives and agents of the US Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force arrested Nolan on Thursday.
He was charged with driving without a license and injury to a child.
Detectives are still investigating people of interest in this case.
