SUGAR LAND, Texas – Police are looking for the man who answered a Craigslist ad, then attacked and robbed the seller.
The victim told police he posted an ad on Craigslist for three pairs of Air Jordan sneakers. They are valued at more than $585.
He was contacted by a potential buyer, and they met at the First Colony Mall at 8 p.m. Aug. 11.
The two men met inside the mall and went outside to make the transaction since the potential buyer said his baby was in the car. As the seller walked up, he saw no baby, he became uneasy, and he went back inside the mall.
The potential buyer followed him into the mall bathroom, sprayed him with pepper spray, hit him twice and took the shoes.
The man was last seen leaving in a grey Nissan passenger car with another black male driving.
He is described as a black male and about 6 feet 2 inches tall with braided hair. He was wearing a black bandana on his head, a Charlotte Hornets shirt, black sweat pants and black and white shoes that looked like Air Jordans, according to the victim.
