1 dead in SUV crash in NE Houston
HOUSTON – One person was killed in a SUV accident on Highway 59 in northeast Houston.
The accident happened at 3:45 p.m. Sunday on the northbound side of the Eastex Freeway at Rankin Road.
Houston police said the driver of a white Chevrolet Blazer carrying four passengers lost control in the third lane, flipped and landed on the feeder road.
A passenger was ejected from the passenger’s seat and was dead when police arrived.
Another man was taken by LifeFlight to Memorial Hermann Hospital. His condition is unknown.
The driver and two other people -- a woman and a juvenile male -- in the SUV were taken to the hospital in unknown conditions.
