HOUSTON – One man was killed and another was hospitalized Thursday after someone shot up a car in Acres Homes.

One man, who was shot several times, was pronounced dead inside the car. The second victim was taken to Ben Taub Hospital in stable condition and released, according to police. The driver was not injured.

Investigators found nearly 20 shell casings at the scene of the shooting. The car was riddled with bullet holes and the rear passenger's side window was shattered by gunfire, police said.

Detectives are working to find the shooter. No arrests have been made.
