HOUSTON – A Harris County employee was arrested Wednesday after an investigation into someone making child pornography available on the internet.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, investigators discovered the address of a computer that was allowing people to access images of children being sexually assaulted. The address was traced to Steven Stones, 42, who works as an information technology manager in the county’s Office of Court Management.

On Aug. 3, investigators served a search warrant at Stones’ home and seized a computer that contained images of child pornography, deputies said.

Deputies said that Stones confessed to the crime during an interview with investigators.

Stones was charged with three counts of possession of child pornography. He was being held in the Harris County jail on $15,000 bond.
