The store manager identified Vander-Veen, through surveillance, as a former employee at the store.
The men entered the store with black and red bandanas over their faces, according to reports. Wiltz then pointed a gun at an employee, demanding money, according to police.
Wiltz then went around the counter and took money from the cash register and also took reserved money from under the counter, police said.
The report said Vander-Veen took store merchandise. The pair left the scene in a tan Chevrolet SUV.
On July 15, an officer pulled over a gray Chevrolet Tahoe. Wiltz and Vander-Veen were inside. The officer discovered property from the store inside the SUV. The officer also found two bandanas, 9 mm ammo, a black Kel-Tek 9 mm and a black 9 mm Sig Sauer.
