Search for driver after deadly hit-and-run crash in downtown Houston

HOUSTON – Police are looking for the driver that killed a woman in a hit-and-run in downtown Houston.

The incident happened on June 11 on the 2300 block of San Jacinto Street, near the Gulf Freeway. Police said a woman was lying on the road when she was hit by a vehicle. The driver left the scene without helping the victim.

One witness told police they saw a white BMW hit the woman, but could not see the driver's face or the license plate of the vehicle.

The woman died from her injuries.
