Weekend Traffic Alert for I-45 North Freeway closure

HOUSTON – Part of the I-45 North Freeway will be shut down this weekend starting Friday night.

I-45 southbound at I-10 will be completely shut down from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. on Monday. Use 610 or Highway 59 as an alternate route.

This is all in preparations of entrance ramps on I-45 southbound that connect Allen Parkway and Houston Avenue.

On the northwest side, Highway 290 outbound from Little York to FM 529 is shut down also from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.
