Woman identified after body found in Brays Bayou

HOUSTON – A woman was identified Sunday months after officers discovered her body in Brays Bayou, according to the Houston Police Department.

Homicide investigators are still trying to piece together how Kellie Higdon’s body ended up alongside the banks of Brays Bayou May 26 near the 2900 block of south Wayside Drive.

Higdon's body was found partially clothed and had been there for up to six days.

Investigators said Higdon was last seen alive May 23.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. A reward of $5,000 is being offered for information leading to charges or an arrest in this case.
