Police capture fugitive charged with capital murder

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Police have arrested Frederick Donnell Foster, 36, and charged him with capital murder.

Police said on June 25 around 5:40 a.m., police responded to a call at the Copper Lodge Apartments at 1000 Cypress Station in north Harris County.

At the scene, police said they found Robert Russo, 64, shot to death on the first floor patio of his apartment. Police said Foster is responsible for the killing.

Police said Russo was killed during an attempted robbery.

Police said they followed a blood trail that started at the apartment, and they found Michael Brown, 26, lying on the ground next to a ski mask with a gunshot wound to the side. Brown was taken to the hospital, where he is in stable condition. Brown is charged with murder for the shooting death of Russo.

At this time, it is unclear how Foster and Brown are connected.
