HOUSTON – A series of home burglaries in the North Shore neighborhood of east Houston may be connected, and have now lead to two arrests, according to a veteran investigator with the Houston Police Department.
"We're talking about a month to a month and a half of what we think are related burglaries out here," Greg Shelton, a veteran investigator with the Houston Police Department, said.
The burglaries started Feb. 4 on the 12900 block of Orleans and 13300 of Corpus Christi Street.
Police arrested two men and have definitively tied them to one of the break-ins.
Manuel Rodriguez, 30, and Jesse Duenez, 19, have each been charged with burglary.
They're accused of stealing several items including family heirloom jewelry.
Another man, seen at a Houston pawn shop shortly after one of the crimes took place, is shown on surveillance video, but has not yet been identified by police.
"We have one guy caught on video we believe was definitely involved," Shelton said.
The man has been described as being about 5 feet 7 inches tall and having an average build.
If you have information about the identity of this man call the Houston Police Department directly or Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS
