Houston-area gospel singer turns himself in on family assault charge

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – Popular gospel singer James Fortune has turned himself in to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Department.

He was wanted on a family violence assault charge.

Fortune is from the Houston area.
