Kaleigh, of Comal County 4-H, told rodeo officials she has been showing since she was in the third grade and winning was something she never expected.

"There was a lot of hard work and a lot of long hours in the barn to win," said Kaleigh.

Aspen said her hard work paid off.

"I have tried to win ever since 2011. Houston is my best show to come to and my hardest to win," Aspen said.

Sudan FFA member Kaegan Edwards, 15, exhibited the Reserve Grand Champion Junior Market Lamb, Rodeo officials said.

"Just the process of raising something on my own and winning was great," said Kaegan.

Rodeo officials said the Reserve Grand Champion Junior Market Goat was exhibited by Cody Sells, 13, of Taylor.

"This was a big breaking point for me," Cody said. "I finally went from third place to Reserve Champion after all this time."
