HOUSTON – Police are searching for new leads in a case from last summer.

On July 27, 2015, the body of Jacqueline Anderson, 51, was found in the parking lot of a convenience story located in the 7400 block of Scott Street.

No form of identification was found with the body, which was in an advanced state of decomposition.

Anderson's family is requesting the help of the community to find the person or people responsible for her death.

Anderson was known to regularly visit the areas of Scott Street and Cullen Boulevard.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

There are five different ways to provide anonymous tips:

• Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).

• Text the letters DPS, followed by your tip, to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cellphone.

• Submit a Web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive about whom you have information, and then clicking on the link under his or her picture.

• Submit a Facebook tip by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section).

• Submit a tip through the DPS mobile app. The app is available for iPhone users in the Apple App Store and for Android users on Google Play.

All tips are anonymous, regardless of how they are submitted.
