Man robbed while getting his mail in Sugar Land neighborhood

SUGAR LAND, Texas – A man was attacked while getting his mail in a popular Riverpark subdivision of Sugar Land, right near the Grand Parkway and Highway 59.

The victim is a 51-year-old man who was getting his mail just before 7 p.m. Monday. He said a car with two black men inside pulled up. They displayed a gun and demanded his wallet, phone and jacket. He said they hit him in the face before leaving in a light-colored car. The victim could not provide a description to the police.

The robbery happened near the intersection of Richland Spring Lane and Fall Forest Lane and the robbers haven't been caught.

"I actually came out to take out my trash and I saw the cops," neighbor Amber Arb said.

Arb has her concealed handgun license and made sure she grabbed her gun when she went to get her mail Tuesday afternoon.

Now all the people who live in the Sugar Land neighborhood are being extra careful when they go out.
