HOUSTON – Bond has been raised and charges may be upgraded against a man accused of dousing gasoline on a prominent Houston attorney and his son, setting both men on fire.
Curtis Holliman, 32, has been charged with murder in the death of Dexter Taylor, 46, son of attorney Kirby Taylor.

Holliman appeared Thursday before a judge, who increased his bond amount from $50,000 to $100,000 and issued a no contact order. Charges may be upgraded to capital murder, prosecutors say.
Investigators said Holliman was arguing with the Taylors at their home in the 2200 block of Ewing on Monday.
According to court documents, the argument ended with the father and son laughing, apparently further angering Holliman.
Holliman allegedly told them, "You think that's funny? I've got something for you," and went upstairs to his room. He came back a few minutes later with a container of gasoline, doused them both and set them on fire.
Neighbors heard screaming coming from the house and called 911.
A neighbor who wished to remain anonymous said she went outside to investigate and saw the elder Taylor in his front yard trying to retrieve a garden hose. His pants were badly burned.
When firefighters arrived, they found the 67-year-old father just inside the front door, while furniture burned in the living room. They discovered his son in another part of the house on the first floor.
Dexter Taylor suffered second- and third-degree burns on his buttocks and legs. He was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Kirby Taylor remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening burns.
