One of the supporting Sam Houston Tollway direct connector columns will be reconstructed to make room for the new westbound U.S. 290 entrance ramp from West Little York to the new collector distributor.

During that time, motorists exiting to the tollway will be detoured to alternate routes:

• Motorists accessing the southbound tollway will be detoured to the U.S. 290 Jones exit, make a U-turn and enter the U.S. 290 eastbound main lanes to the tollway southbound.

• Motorists accessing the northbound tollway will be detoured to the U.S. 290 frontage road at the new temporary exit just past Gessner, turn right at the Beltway 8 frontage road and enter the tollway past Philippine.
