Former Mayor Parker to teach at Harvard
No description foundCambridge, MA – Former Houston Mayor Annise Parker has been selected to teach at Harvard this semester.
Harvard's Institute of Politics announced its selection of visiting fellows.
Those selected "aim to inspire undergraduates to enter careers in politics and public service," a news release said.
Resident fellows will interact with students, lead study groups and participate in intellectual activities with students, faculty and staff.
The Institute of Politics was created in 1966 as a memorial to President John F. Kennedy.
Parker served as Houston mayor from 2010-2015.
Before that she worked as a city controller from 2004-2009 and served as a city council member from 1998-2003.
