Mother arrested for DWI, passes out with children in car No description found
HOUSTON – A woman was arrested after she passed out while driving intoxicated with her two small children in the car in southeast Houston, according to police.
Mashanda Thomas, 25, is charged with two counts of endangering a child and two counts of DWI with child.
Police said Thomas was found passed out in her car Tuesday around 6:30 p.m. in the middle of a moving lane of traffic on Martin Luther King Boulevard and Kelso Street.
Investigators said she had her two small daughters, 2 and 4, with her and they were not secured in car seats.
Thomas was taken into police custody and is currently in the Harris County Jail in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
The kids were turned over to their grandmother.
