Police investigating after friends find man dead inside apartment

Police investigating after friends find – Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man whose body was found inside his apartment on Sunday.

Cortez Taylor, 31, was found dead around 9:10 p.m. at his home in the 2400 block of Sage. 

Taylor's friends became concerned when they hadn't heard from him for a few days and went to his apartment to check on him.  Upon entering, they found him lying on the floor and called 911.

HFD paramedics arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene. His cause of death is pending an examination by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
