Three arrested in murder of store clerk

CLEVELAND, Texas – Two adults and a juvenile were taken into custody by the Cleveland Police Department and Texas Rangers in connection with the murder of a gas station clerk.

The murder happened during a robbery Wednesday morning. Police said around 9:30 a.m., three masked men entered the Exxon on FM 2025, argued with the clerk over money and shot him in the chest.

The victim has been identified as Conbino Crasto, 40.

Roberto Alvarado, 22, Michael Richardson, 18 and a 15-year-old juvenile face a charge of capital murder.

Police said Crasto's family, a wife and two children, live in India. He moved to Texas seven years ago and would send money he earned to his family.

"There's been numerous investigators involved with the department and they've all done an awesome job to try to bring justice to the family in this case and we worked tirelessly and effortlessly to get this done," said Chief Darrel Broussard, with Cleveland Police Department.
