Man shoots, kills crook trying to steal girlfriend's purse Second thief still on the run No description found
NORTH HARRIS COUNTY, Texas –
A woman's boyfriend is being credited for stopping two thieves who were trying to steal her purse.
One of the thieves was killed, the other is still on the run, police said.
According to investigators, the woman was coming home to her north Harris County apartment work Sunday night when she noticed two men in the parking lot. Police said she called her boyfriend, who was inside their apartment, as she walked from her car. That's when police say the two men tried to steal her purse. The woman's boyfriend was able to make it outside, gun in hand.
Police said the boyfriend shot one thief, who died at the scene. The other one got away.
Police are investigating. No charges have been filed.
