Police searching for woman accused of killing man

HOUSTON – Rosalyn Perry won't sleep until her son's killer is caught.

Sergio Banks, 28, died after being shot in the head while sitting in his car Tuesday in the Third Ward.

His uncle, Mark Perry, lives a block away from where the shooting happened and could hear the gunshot.

"When we heard the gunshot, it sounded so close like it was right up on us, which it was," Mark Perry said.

Perry and another relative ran down to the corner.

Banks' family is convinced a woman Sergio was with Tuesday had something to do with his murder.

Houston police confirm he was with a woman at the time of the shooting and she fled. Detectives are still looking for her.

"I am sick," Rosalyn Perry said. "I want her caught and justice served."

Family members said the woman stayed with friends in the neighborhood, but no one has seen her since.

Banks' mother desperately wants her caught and sent to prison.

"I would feel much better about that, because it might happen to someone else," Rosalyn Perry said.
