Robbery leads to carjacking, kidnapping at SE Houston gas station

A man robbed, carjacked and kidnapped another man and a store clerk at a gas station in southeast Houston.

Police said the victim was getting gas Wednesday around 8:30 p.m. at the Valero gas station in the 800 block of Edgebrook when he was robbed at gunpoint.

The robber went into the gas station and stole an unknown amount of cash. He then kidnapped the driver and the store clerk and took off.

Officers were able to track down the kidnapper just a short time later in the city of South Houston. They pulled him over during a traffic stop and took him into custody without incident.

The driver and the clerk were not injured.
