Amazon sues fake online reviewers and other business news
HOUSTON – Amazon is suing more than 1,000 people it claims are selling fake reviews of products.
According to a complaint filed by the company in a Seattle court, the lawsuit targets account holders on fiverr.com, a marketplace for odd jobs where "gigs" are sold for $5 and up. Amazon doesn't know who's behind the accounts, so lists them all as John Doe in the lawsuit.
General Motors is recalling more cars and SUVs over airbag issues. The automaker is recalling 395 vehicles from the 2015 model year. The Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac XTS, Chevy Camaro, Equinox, Malibue and GMC terrain vehicles are all affected.
Takata is the maker of the airbags and notified GM of a failed test of the airbags earlier this month.
