Great deals around town for Columbus Day

HOUSTON – If your kids are out of school today, don't fear, there are things you can do on the cheap today!

While most museums are closed Monday, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston is open!

You can check out the Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens, or take the kids to story time tours at Rienzi.

You can introduce them to the magic of art and literature in an intimate setting.

Storytime begins at 10 a.m. and lasts an hour.  Admission is free.

Ready for dinner, but don't feel like cooking?
Have $6 spaghetti and meatballs at the Spaghetti Warehouse on Commerce Street.  It comes with sourdough bread and bottomless soup and salad.

Or swing over to Carrabba's Italian Grill. Today through Wednesday, you can get a free appetizer if you buy two entrees.

Ready to work off that tortellini?  You can head to Discovery Green for some free "Bum-Ba" Toning.
Class begins at 6:30 p.m. and you guessed it, the goal is to tone that bum and body!
