HOUSTON – The Hover Ball by Wham O promises to glide on any flat surface in your home without leaving any damage or hurting your kids. We gave it a shot, in this week's As Seen on TV Tuesday.
"No playing ball in the house," is a saying we can all remember as kids. But according to toymaker Wham O, this ball is different because it floats like magic and glides over carpet, tile and wood.
The half-ball creation promises to bounce off walls and not leave any scratches on your walls or trim.
It also says the ball is soft and won't hurt your children.
But we found the foam is not as soft as the maker claims and when it's going fast, like on the hardwood and tile, it can really hurt.
It does glide well on all three surfaces, but it gets caught a little bit on the carpet.
The ball doesn't bounce up in the air, like a regular ball would, so your frames and lamps are pretty safe.
