Porter man sentenced to 40 years in prison for possession of child porn

PORTER, Texas – A Porter man will be behind bars for 40 years for possession of child pornography.

Kenneth Ferguson, 39, was arrested in 2013 and accused of downloading and sharing child pornography online from his apartment on FM 1314. The Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable's Office said Ferguson admitted to downloading pornographic videos.

Ferguson pleaded guilty to four counts of possession of child pornography last week. A jury returned a sentence of 10 years per count. 

A judge finalized the jury's sentence by making the sentences consecutive. 

Montgomery County Pct. 4 released released a statement that read in part:

"The Precinct 4 Constable's Office applauds Judge Hamilton's decision in seeing that justice was served and keeping Kenneth Ray Ferguson behind bars for as long as possible, understanding that his freedom poses a danger to the most vulnerable members of society."
