According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, a call came in about 9:20 a.m. as a family disturbance in the 2200 block of Mooney Road, east of the Hardy Tollway.

KPRC 2 was told Gonzalez lives at the house with his parents. He called two of his siblings and told them them he had "screwed up." Detectives were called to the house after the Gonzalez's siblings received the call.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office released a statement that read in part:

"Noe and his brother live at the house on Mooney with their parents. The parents were out of town. The sister thought something was alarmed and drove to the residence. Noe Gonzalez was very belligerent towards his sister and would not allow her inside the residence."

Officials said Gonzalez's sister was concerned when she couldn't find her other brother, but he was eventually found safely. An unidentified man was found beaten to death and left lying behind the front door after officers conducted a welfare check.

"The brother said that he had screwed up and would not go into details, but would not let family enter the house," Harris County Sgt. Ben Beall said. "The family was unable to contact another brother, one of their brothers, and they were concerned that brother might be injured inside the residence. Detectives entered the house and when they entered the house they found a Hispanic male severely beaten and deceased inside the residence."

Gonzalez was not cooperative with deputies, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
