AeroMexico flight diverted to IAH due to unruly passenger

HOUSTON – An AeroMexico flight diverted to Houston Tuesday afternoon due to a confrontation between two passengers.

The Federal Aviation Administration said AeroMexico flight 405 was traveling from JFK to Mexico City when there was a confrontation between two passengers.

KPRC 2 is told one passenger turned around in his seat to speak with a family member who was sitting behind him, when another passenger started yelling at him.

The flight was diverted to Houston and landed at Bush Intercontinental Airport shortly before 12:30 p.m.

The unruly passenger was detained and was not let back on the plane. No arrests were made, because police said the victim did not want to press charges.

The victim got back on the plane, which then continued on to Mexico City.

There were no injuries.
