Walmart takes on Amazon Prime; Pedialyte grows up, targets adults

HOUSTON – Walmart is testing a new unlimited shipping service for online shoppers this summer that's set to rival Amazon Prime.

The service will cost $50 each year, which is half the price of Amazon's offering. Walmart also promises that products will arrive in three days or less. At first, the service will be invitation only, but will work for more than one million top-selling items, from toys to electronic gadgets.

Pedialyte isn't just for children anymore. The liquid designed to help children quickly replenish electrolytes, fluids and zinc when their stomachs are unsettled also makes a great hangover cure. Pedialyte's parent company said that adult consumption of the drink has skyrocketed, increasing nearly 60 percent since 2012.

If ordering pizza by phone, Internet or through an app is just too inconvenient, customers can now just tweet at Domino's. The new twitter feature will roll out on May 20. As an added bonus, Domino's regulars can order their go-to pie by just tweeting a picture of a pizza emoji.
