Hulu strikes deal to stream 'Seinfeld'

HOUSTON – Festivus is coming early thanks to Hulu. The streaming giant has struck a deal for the reruns of "Seinfeld."

The deal values each episode at a whopping $700,000 each, according to the Wall Street Journal, which means Hulu is spending $180 million to stream the classic sitcom.  Amazon and Yahoo were also bidding for the on-demand rights to the "show about nothing."

Hulu is expected to make a formal announcement sometime Wednesday. There's still no official word on when the show will start streaming.

As for the other '90s TV juggernaut, the rights to "Friends" went to Netflix for about $500,000 an episode.
