Man, 38, charged with capital murder in fatal shootings of father, son

HOUSTON – A man is charged with capital murder in the shooting deaths of a father and son in southeast Houston.

On the morning of April 3, police said Glen and Carl Williams gunned down at the Crystal Springs Apartments on Selinsky Road and Sesame Street. Relatives said they believe the shooting happened after an argument at a nearby convenient store.

Glen Williams, 54, died from a gunshot wounds the head and neck. Carl Williams, 23, died from a gunshot wounds to the torso and extremities.

Christopher Mallett was arrested in the case and is being held without bond in the Harris County Jail.

Mallett, 38, is charged with capital murder. Court records state he was out on bond from a March 13 aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in which police said he pulled an AK-47 on his ex-girlfriend after trying to strangle her.
