Pasadena electricity plant lowered, demolished

PASADENA, Texas – The AES Deepwater electricity plant in Pasadena was lowered in a controlled demolition Sunday morning.

The company said there was no danger to residents or businesses in the area.

A zone was established near the site for the public to watch the structure go down.

AES said they scrapped the building because of business conditions.
