Diet Coke surpassed by Pepsi in huge soda shift

HOUSTON –  There's a big shakeup in the soda industry when it comes to the top-selling drinks in the country.

Some say Diet Coke is fizzing out and that Americans just aren't that into drinks with artificial sweeteners anymore.

That's because Pepsi has jumped ahead of Diet Coke, replacing it as the second best selling soda in the U.S. in 2014.

Coca-Cola is still number one, but Coke may still get bumped.

According to the Wall Street Journal, The Beverage Marketing Corporation has predicted U.S. Bottled water volumes could surpass soda by late 2016 or early 2017.
