After State Rep. Rick Miller submitted the bill to the Texas House of Representatives, his son Beau Miller took to Facebook.

In a post, Beau Miller wrote he was "extremely disappointed" by his father's actions.

In a statement, Rep. Miller said: "I am saddened by the recent politicization of my personal relationship with my son. My life has been spent in service to my family, my country, and now my public service in the Texas house is a continuation of my care for all Texans."
